Guided Walk in Prague Historical Center
Start: 13:00 at the Hotel Grandium
Duration: cca 3 hours
Cost: 20 EUR per person to be paid in advance during conference registration
Walk can be booked in advance at info@isaif16.com or at the registration desk on site.
Walk usually starts in the Old Town of Prague, where we naturally can’t miss the Old Town Square with its famous Astronomical Clock. We also visit the district called Josefov, which for centuries was home to a closed Jewish ghetto. There, among the synagogues, the mysterious Golem may still be resting. Through the Clementinum, we make our way to Charles Bridge, a unique Prague landmark from the 14th century. After crossing it, we arrive at Kampa Island and then to the picturesque Lesser Town (originally the Lesser Town of Prague), where narrow alleys, magnificent churches, and grand aristocratic palaces stand side by side. The walk ends at Prague Castle, where we tour its courtyards and visit part of St. Vitus Cathedral free of charge. If desired, we can stop along the way for a small refreshment at a local café or pub (not covered).
